Anyone using Liferay together with JBoss Seam (version >= 2) and RichFaces (version >= 3.1.4)?

If yes, what is your experience using Liferay together with JBosss Seam and RichFaces?

And what about using JBoss Portlet Bridge (http://www.jboss.org/portletbridge/), JBoss Seam and RichFaces together with Liferay, any experience?

I don't use Richfaces (use ICEfaces) but have done examples for both jboss-portal-2.6.4 and the available Liferay-4.4.2/Glassfishv2 bundle. Using Seam2.1.0.A1 (and the trunk) developing for this platform was no problem at all, but using ICEfaces there is no requirement for the JBoss-Portlet Bridge since the ICEfaces bridge handles both servlet and portlet development.

Hi, I have the same question and i need, please, a quick answer... My requirements are jboss AS 4.2 and liferay 4.4.

  • Is it possible to use Seam 2.0 with liferay (with/without??? the bridge) or must i have to wait for Seam 2.1 ?
  • I have to chose between richfaces and icefaces: are they both working with liferay?

It is my understanding (could be wrong though?) that 2.1.0 introduces portal support and you can download an example application for ICEfaces seam-comp-showcase from Seam download page There is a target for the liferay/Glassfish 2.0 bundle that is also available for download.
